Welcome Home, Sweet Home!!
Projects
LWYH is constantly developing projects for parents and their child.
Our efforts are always the undertanding of parents about their child's hearing loss, the adaptation of parents about this, parent interaction with their child, and last but not least; the child's social life! So that the child don't feel different from others and that they can socialize just like everyone else by adapting to everyday life and feel confident later in life.
It all starts with the parents of course, teach the parents so that they can teach and interact with their children. It all sumarizes on this primary projected goal.
Classes, Workshops, Conferences, Trainings and Parent-Child Social events as well to prepare our parents for the rehabilitation of their child and everyday life situations. We all are aware of economically critical times, and California is under a deficit so each year the government is cutting more programs and is harder for us to find resources for a deaf child with a hearing device. So what we are trying to do is to offer help and educate parents with the help of professionals in how to be their child speech therapist, studies show the learning experience occurs most of the time at home with their parents. We want to give options and information to parents in how to be successful with their child speech therapy and most importantly to see how this information will help their child’s future. Parents to become the best therapists for their child.
